Milton's International Overdose Awareness ceremony moves indoors Sunday, Sept. 20, after organizers shifted the event to the Milton Council on Aging at 10 Walnut St. because of expected weather.
The ceremony runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and is open to the public, according to the Milton Times. The date and time are unchanged.
The notice did not name the original outdoor venue. Last year's ceremony took place at the Baron Hugo Gazebo at Milton Town Hall, 525 Canton Ave., according to a Milton Police Department post on X promoting the Aug. 28, 2025, event.
International Overdose Awareness Day, observed Aug. 31 each year, marks its 25th anniversary in 2026, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The relocated ceremony begins at 10 a.m. Sunday at 10 Walnut St.
