The lawn at the Eustis Estate will transform into an open-air dance floor on Sunday, July 26, when Todd Brunel's Swing Conspiracy brings the sounds of the Roaring Twenties and Swing Era to one of the town's most historic landmarks.

The free concert for Milton residents runs from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and is part of a summer series presented by Historic New England and Mandorla Music.

Boston clarinetist and saxophonist Todd Brunel leads a six-piece band performing jazz and swing favorites from the 1920s and '30s with a modern twist.

Brunel has performed with the Huntington Theatre, GBH, and the Front Porch Arts Collective, whose production of Ain't Misbehavin' earned an Elliot Norton Award. The Boston Globe has praised his playing as being full of "virtuosity and heart."

The music is only part of the experience.

The concert takes place on the grounds of the 1878 Eustis Estate, an 80-acre property at the foot of the Blue Hills. The mansion, designed by noted Boston architect W. Ralph Emerson, is the only one of his homes open to the public.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets, enjoy dinner outdoors, and even hit the grass dance floor. (Just leave the alcohol at home.)

Admission is free for Milton residents, children under 18, and EBT/SNAP cardholders. General admission is $20, or $10 for Historic New England members.

Milton residents must reserve their complimentary tickets in advance by calling 617-994-6600.

The July 26 performance is the second concert in the estate's summer series, following the Goodrich Family Band earlier this month. Organizers have hinted that more concerts could be added later this summer.
