Singer Lauren King performs at Madre Osteria & Bar on Thursday, July 23, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., the latest in a weekly live music series at the Neponset River waterfront restaurant at 88 Wharf St. in Milton Village.

The Thursday night lineup continues through the month, with Suzanne McNeil booked for July 30, according to the restaurant's events page.

Madre Osteria sits within the Milton Landing complex overlooking the Neponset River. Married couple Jairo Dominguez and Teodora Bakardzhieva, along with partner Brian O'Donnell of the Trio Restaurant Group, won a common victualler and liquor license transfer from the Milton Select Board in October 2020 to open the restaurant, as reported by the Milton Times.

The restaurant serves Tuscan-inspired Italian cuisine with locally sourced meats and produce, an Italian wine list, and craft cocktails. A waterfront patio opens for al fresco dining in warmer months, and HGTV designer Taniya Nayak designed the interior.

Beyond Thursday performances, the restaurant runs several weekly specials. The bar offers $1 oysters daily from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday brings brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a Jazz Night series from 7 to 9 p.m., with the Hot Club of Boston Trio scheduled for Sunday, July 26. A Sunday Supper prix fixe menu costs $30 per person. Tuesdays feature buy-one-get-one Chicken Parmigiana, and Wednesdays offer a Chef's Tasting.

Hours listed on the restaurant's website are Monday through Wednesday, 4 to 10 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday, 4 to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Reservations are available through OpenTable. Madre Osteria can be reached at (617) 322-9548 or [email protected].
