Milton High School's cheer team captured first place at the Shepard Hill Invitational on Sunday, Oct. 25.
The Milton HS Athletics department announced the win on social media, congratulating the squad on the result. No scores, division details or field size were released with the announcement.
The finish caps an encouraging stretch for a program entering the season with unfinished business. A September preview in the Milton Times noted the Wildcats narrowly missed a return trip to the state tournament last year. Head coach Kaitlyn Paiva is in her second year leading the program, and Bay State Conference All-Star Ruby Roche was expected to be a key returner this fall.
