Milton voters cast 7,289 ballots in the Tuesday, Sept. 1 state primary, a 33% turnout across the town's 11 precincts.

Contested races appeared on both the Democratic and Republican ballots, drawing 6,336 Democratic and 953 Republican ballots town-wide. Town Clerk Susan Galvin posted the unofficial precinct-by-precinct results on the town website. The Milton Times also reported the results Sept. 3.

The tallies remain subject to change. Secretary of State William F. Galvin's office has not certified official statewide totals, and the office said in a statement that it does not publish unofficial results. Milton's local numbers may not reflect district-wide or statewide outcomes.

As we reported Wednesday, Sept. 2, Canton posted its own unofficial results earlier in the week.
